Newborn Session at a Manhattan Beach Spanish Home

It’s hard to pick favorites when it comes to weddings I’ve photographed, but it maaaay be no contest here. Nadia and Jon’s Santa Monica beach wedding weekend topped the charts so hard it was published in California Wedding Day’s print magazine.

On top of it being an incredible wedding day, they’re truly and amazing couple. So I was ecstatic when Nadia reached out that they were expecting a baby and wanted some newborn photos. But not just any newborn photos - they also had just bought a new house! Lots of newness in their life that needed to be remembered in photo form. Little three-week-old August was a perfect baby during our session, and it was amazing to get to catch up with this little family.

One of the things Nadia really wanted out of this session was photos of the home, as she was rightfully very proud of it! During a feeding break was the perfect time for me to roleplay as an Architectural Digest photographer.

And yes, dog Kimble stole the show at both the wedding and this newborn session.
