Los Angeles Arboretum Surprise Proposal
Pavan and his then-girlfriend (now FIANCEE) Malvika live in New Jersey and decided to take a trip to Los Angeles, and Pavan wanted to use the opportunity to propose! He reached out on Reddit to look for a photographer based in LA, which is where he found me. He wanted somewhere with beautiful greenery, and eventually together we decided on the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
Planning out a proposal from across the country proved a little tricky for Pavan, but we pulled it off perfectly! We had a specific section of the grounds where he wanted to propose (Herb Garden), and I went to the Arboretum early that day to get set up in the best spot that wasn’t totally surrounded by other people. We were texting each other the whole morning, and I sent him a picture of my field of view. Mal kinda of knew something was up because he was so nervous that morning, but she was truly surprised at the actual proposal! We then walked around together for a little bit taking some “just engaged” portraits and had the most amazing time. :)
This location is absolutely stunning, and I hope to be able to shoot there again someday!
